It\u2019s a sad fact that some people can be wary of animals that don\u2019t look how they expect them to.<\/p>\n
Ace the cat had a tough start in life; as a kitten he found himself homeless and having to fend for himself on the street.<\/p>\n
Thankfully, he was rescued and then adopted by a loving family, but an infection meant he lost an eye.<\/p>\n
His owners say his unusual appearance does mean some kids are frightened of him and a home security camera was installed to keep tabs on the furry feline.<\/p>\n
What the camera did capture was a boy who visited Ace every day and what he did was thankfully caught on camera.<\/p>\n
Ace\u2019s owner Norma Maikovich says that the little cat is misunderstood by some of the people he encounters.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe can sometimes seem scary, especially to children,\u201d Norma Maikovich, Ace\u2019s owner, told\u00a0The Dodo.<\/a>\u00a0 \u201cPeople are often hesitant to greet him.\u201d<\/p>\n But clearly this isn\u2019t the case for everyone who meets this adorable cat.<\/p>\n Ace absolutely loves to spend the days lying in his owner\u2019s driveway so to keep an eye on him, Norma put up a security camera.<\/p>\n What she saw one day warmed her heart.<\/p>\n A boy was captured on camera visiting the cat every day, undeterred by his appearance, and sits with him, petting and playing with him.<\/p>\n In a video you can see how the boy and Ace cuddle and play with each other.\u00a0It\u2019s obvious that Ace adores his mate.<\/p>\n The cat\u2019s true personality comes out as she\u2019s so gentle with her friend and the boy seems so happy to see her and play with her.<\/p>\n \u201cIt melted our hearts, not just seeing how much Ace loves this boy, but how familiar they were to each other!\u201d Norma told\u00a0The Dodo<\/a>. \u201cSitting by the front door, as soon as Ace sees his friend, he rushes out to greet him.
