51-year-old actress Cameron Diaz and her husband, 45-year-old musician Benji Madden, welcomed their second child together on Friday. The couple took to Instagram to jointly announce the\u00a0birth<\/a>\u00a0of their son Cardinal.<\/p>\n

The couple shared the news with the help of a photo of a piece of artwork that read, \u201cA little bird whispered to me.\u201d The announcement came as a surprise for most people because no one had known the couple was expecting a child.<\/p>\n

In the caption, Madden\u00a0wrote<\/a>, \u201cWe are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden.\u201d He went on, \u201cHe is awesome and we are all so happy he is here!\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple usually keeps their lives incredibly private. They tied the knot in 2015 and welcomed their daughter Raddix in 2019. Before her birth, they kept quiet about her arrival, only revealing it on social media after her birth.<\/p>\n

According to a source close to the couple, they went through a lot to have their daughter. \u201d They went through so much to get to this point.\u201d The source added, \u201cCameron feels like this baby is truly a miracle.\u201d The source shared that Raddix was born through surrogacy, a fact that the couple has never commented upon.<\/p>\n
